ALTHANI COUNCIL
Leaders

Vision Statement
The Al Thani Council of the Ruling Family envisions a State of Qatar founded on justice, transparency, accountability, and the rule of law, where governance reflects the will of its people, safeguards the rights of every citizen, and upholds the principles of Sharia as enshrined in the Constitution.
We aspire to a nation where leadership is not inherited nor concentrated, but entrusted through consultation and the collective voice of the citizens; where public office is a responsibility to serve, not a privilege to exploit; and where national resources are preserved for the benefit of all, not the enrichment of a few.
Our vision is a Qatar that restores integrity to governance, protects its people, and reaffirms its commitment to equity, dignity, and lawful stewardship.

Mission Statement
The mission of the Al Thani Council of the Ruling Family is to actively uphold, defend, and restore the constitutional, legal, and moral foundations of the State of Qatar.
Guided by our inherent responsibility and rights under the Constitution, we are committed to:
- Ensuring that the rights, freedoms, and dignity of all citizens of Qatar are preserved and protected without exception.
- Upholding the application of Sharia and constitutional law as the governing framework of justice and national order.
- Challenging and opposing all forms of exploitation, corruption, and abuse of power that undermine the State and its people.
- Rejecting the concentration or inheritance of authority, and advocating for leadership determined through consultation (Shura) and the willful participation and vote of the citizens.
- Investigating, exposing, and bringing to light actions, individuals, or entities that unlawfully benefit at the expense of the nation.
- Holding accountable any party—without limitation—who engages in conduct that violates the Constitution, misuses public funds, or compromises the integrity of the State.
- Pursuing all lawful and necessary measures, including national and international mechanisms, to ensure justice, transparency, and reform.
As reflected in our Council’s agenda and mandate, we exercise a broad and far-reaching power of inquiry to investigate systemic failures, corruption, and violations affecting the State and its citizens, with the objective of remedying such injustices and restoring lawful governance.
